I grew up in west Texas, graduating from the University of Texas in Austin. Phoenix, Arizona became my home 25 years ago when I married my wonderful husband, John. We have three children: Grace, a newly married grad student, Anna, a senior in college, and John 3, a college freshman.
Since 1979 I have been involved with Young Life (an international outreach ministry to adolescents), beginning in high school where I first understood the gospel message and turned to Jesus as my savior. Currently, I am on staff with Young Life in the Southwest Region and I continue to be richly blessed through my role of training, equipping, and encouraging our newer staff, particularly focusing on developing women in this ministry.
Some things I love… riding bikes to our coffee shop with my husband to read and talk, studying art, drawing and painting, laughing with my family and friends, playing games, traveling, and walking in the park with our dog, Maggie.
I’m so excited to look together at Jesus and his interactions with several different women in the gospels. I believe the Lord has great things in store for each of us in our time together!
Registration Deadline: Register before January 15, 2012 for the discounted rate of $169. Late registrations will be accepted up until January 22nd at $189 (note that registration is not final until you have paid – even if you register online before the 15th, you must submit your payment before that date, otherwise you’ll have to pay the late registration rate).
Accommodations & Meal Packages
- Triple Rate – $169 (All meals included; 3 Ladies to a room with individual beds. Rooms include soap, shampoo, and bed and bath linens.)
- Late registration rate (after Jan 15) – $189
- Day Rate – $65 (Meals included; Saturday only – no overnight stay)

Payments: Please make checks payable to Ambassador Bible Church, and write “Women’s Retreat” on the memo line. NOTE: Your registration is not complete until payment is received.
Children: The Ambassador women’s ministry team values children and families; we want to support women in all their roles including being a wife and mother. It is for this purpose that we are not allowing children to attend this weekend retreat. We would like to give each woman the opportunity to spend the weekend fully focused on God and building relationships with other women, so she can be renewed, prepared, and inspired to pursue God’s calling for her. Thank you for your cooperation.
Refunds: There will be no refunds given after the registration deadline of January 22nd.
