Katrina
What: Rebuilding, cleaning, serving, evangelism
Where: Covington and New Orleans, LA
When: May 30-June 6
Contacts: Kezhen Shen or Tongil LeeIn 2005, the nation watched in horror as New Orleans and surrounding areas were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Five years later, cleanup and rebuilding efforts continue. You can play a role in bringing healing and hope to the people of Covington, LA. Work alongside your teammates by repairing homes and building relationships.
As Jesus said of the woman in Mark 14:8, ‘She did what she could.’ I hope He can also say that about us. We barely made a dent when you look at all that needs to be done, but we did help, as well as touch some lives with the gospel.

Washington State (Lummi Nation)
What: Serving the Lummi Nation
Where: Bellingham, WA
When: July 10-17
Contact: Steve MinJoin ABC on this year’s tenth consecutive trip to the Lummi Nation. Working together, ABC and our missionary Tammy Jackson, who serves with Mission to the World (MTW), have built bridges to the Lummi community through acts of service such as cleaning, painting, and renovating homes on the reservation. God has used our past service to grow relationships and break down cultural and spiritual barriers. On more recent trips, we have been able to host after-school activities for the youth, which incorporated biblical stories and themes. Come and be part of continuing ABC’s tradition of ministry to the people of Lummi.
I believe God was glorified as the Lummi people saw God’s love through us.
